a serious question

Have you considered a plasma display?

Many of the reasons that people prefer plasma to LCD are the same reasons that people prefer CRT to LCD. Plasma and CRT both use phosphurs as their display technology. Besides, even if you could find a brand new Sony 32" Widescreen CRT, the price of even a 42" 1080p plasma is likely to be far less expensive. Unless you need to fit your display in a space-definite cabinet which would negate a display larger a certain size, you should give a plasma display consideration. Then again, last year I bought my son a 32" plasma for his room (but I haven't seen this size offered lately).
