I'm subwoofing a 3200CF room with 8 12" drivers driven with 2KW of power. (This is a composite pic. Each SW is 4' wide, about 6' tall and a foot deep.)

You will achieve some bottom-octave power in the room with one sub-$1000 SW but not much.
