Excessive vibration isn't good for any electronic gear, not just displays. But if it's the only option that you have, try to eliminate some of the vibration from reaching the display. You might want to put some sort of vibration absorbant material between the speakers and the base (like a foam mat with a non-slip base) to decrease the affect.
