BTW I too have an Oppo 83 and love it. Have had several Blu-ray and HD DVD players in my system (all 1080P using a projector and big screen) and can't see difference in PQ among them. I bought it for its analog-MC-audio outputs and its ability to play all my hi-rez-audio discs, which it does VERY well.
(Maybe THIS year I'll finish those speakers!)
