50" 1030p Plasma of course

Especially since you are watching bluray, I would go for 1080p.

The other day, I was looking at the latest and greatest locally dimming LED LCD's side by side with 1080p plastmas at Ken Cranes, and really, the plastmas have so much more vibrancy and richness to colors compared to LED/LCD's it was actually kind of sad how everyone seems to be pushing LCD's these days.

I was also shocked to see the 65" Panasonic plasma on sale for like $2500-2600. Or the Samsung 63" plasma. Incredible bargains...
