convert to DVD VOB to MKV

Posted by wlee on July 2, 2011 at 21:34:11:

I would like to convert some of my DVDs to MKV or MP4 format, (Codec .H263 is the better one I read?). But I have problem as some of the Vob could not be vonverted correctly, or even being able to convert.
An example is the Guys and Dolls vintage 2006. The Video files are just too complicated and the Format factory I am using could only convert some of the file correctly.

Is there any program that could be used to convert those DVD as close to the original arrangement as possible, especially keeping the sound quality well?

tks!
