RE: need a cable box expert

Posted by Ross on December 3, 2011 at 12:09:01:

You are going to have to wade into the grey area of modified cable boxes. There are people out there who will sell you a box that will do what you want, but after sale who knows ? And from time to time cable companies have been known to send signals or content down the line to flush out rogue boxes.

Personally, I have a cable line connected to the QAM input of my flat screen and I get about 25 HD channels in addition to basic cable. Comcast keeps trying to get me to use their box, but I am happy with what I have.

Best,

Ross
