Very dumb question. Harmon Kardon BDS units

I have been looking at the Harmon Kardon BDS units. I do not want to set up a 5.1 home theatre setup. I watch a few blue ray discs per month. I also have a few blue ray concert discs I enjoy.

I had been looking for a combination harmon kardon bds 2.1 receiver-blu ray player(HK BDS 380). These units have been discontinued. However there are a few 5.1 units out there. (HK BDS 580). Sorry just want a one box solution.

The dumb questions will the 5.1 units play regular 2 channel or will I be missing part of the music. Hopefully this is clear
