RCA rear projection tv problems

Posted by tesla on February 24, 2015 at 09:22:23:

I have a RCA D50LPW134 DLP rear projection tv.

Got it for free. First thing I did is check the projection lamp, it's blown. Did some googling, the DLP tv seems to not be loved much. next, I tried powering it up, (without the blown lamp), and although it powers up, after it goes through some power up blinks, the blue led goes into a error code, 6 blinks, pause, then 1 blink.

I tried looking for that error, I can't find it.

I'm guessing, (hoping?) that all that means is that indicates a blown bulb. Anyone have any experience with these?
