A modern film with cars and comedy and the mob reminds you of an intense drama in NZ's "country" 100 years ago with horses? Not even close....you must be thinking of another movie. If you aren't I'm dumbfounded!

I agree there is no comparison of the locations NZ is amazing.
Geez really, I've seen both and see little similarity. No comedy in Tracker and add the racist behavior toward the Maori. Total stretch. Midnight Runs value is comedic only. It's all a vehicle for DeNiro v Grodin. So much more complexity between protagonist/antagonist due to the past (explained in the film) of each character. Still not close at all not could I see anything but an A or maybe a B.
