    . . . is that it's made from soy protein, so, eventually, it can make you into a soy-boy beta male. I feel that I'm safer with the "Beyond Burger" type products, which are made from pea protein. However, now that I think of it, one of the central themes of Georg Buchner's "Woyzeck" is that Woyzeck's/Wozzeck's doctor requires him to eat peas all the time (in a kind of bizarre medical experiment featuring a pea diet) - and Woyzeck is a big beta male too! (This was of course before Alban Berg got hold of the story for his atonal operatic version, "Wozzeck".) Maybe I just don't know what to think. ;-)

        From USA Today, January 4 (and, yes, I do acknowledge that USA Today is a not-always-trustworthy corporate news source!):
        McDonald's also announced in December it had developed the McPlant, a new plant-based platform, and said tests of the plant-based burger are expected in some markets around the world this year.
