Rented the other night. How this is hardly watchable, much less Oscar worthy, is beyond comprehension. Reviews talk about people bursting out loud with laughter...HUH?. Honestly, I didn't even crack a smile. close to 10 minutes of gushing vomit and exploding toilets....must have been great in the theater for those bringing snacks, popcorn and pop. I'm surprised Woody Harrelson even got half way into reading the script before declining. Underwhelming indeed!

his sense of humor is dry and he sent up the art world and its pretension in his last movie The Square...and I thought he was equally on target here with his over-the-top exaggerations of the ultra-rich. Yes, I laughed out loud, and while I was worried I would not enjoy the crude scenes, I found the whole ultra-luxury cruise falling into utter disaster to be hilarious. OK, my beef, it kind of loses steam in the last act, and I don't know why all movies now have to be 2 1/2 hours, but yes, I liked it a lot...and if anyone else did, and has not seen The Square, by all means, see it.
with a laugh track. Waaaay too long and it should have ended when the boat went down. We had already been indoctrinated with how helpless/useless elites are.
and all his previous work, I'm in!
