a return to grabbing box office receipts and the death of the origin films? I am a big fan of 'Prometheus' and 'Covenant' and wanted to see the story continue. Granted the origin films must have a poor ROI but I think they were more stimulating than the acid-dripping Cuisinarts.

I have zero interest in this.

My guess it is a B grade summer flick. Lots of tension and blood and guts.
really have to wonder how Scott can keep telling the same
fucking story over and over again?
I enjoyed "Covenant" a bit more than "Prometheus" so
there may be hope that a relatively new spin might pop
out of Scott's moribund imagination and have more impact
than the wee baby alien popping out does at this point in
a LONG line of Aliens.

grab a pogo stick and head on back to the studio lot.
I think both Prometheus and Covenant wind up the imagination at the cost of big budgets and fewer ticket sales. And, the plot has gotten more complex with all the characters and aliens to juggle.

We left off at the end of Prometheus with two key characters--one human and one android--going off to find answers to important questions that supersede the genre. I liked how Prometheus set that up. I liked the symbolism of the abortion scene and how they flipped the script in sci fi by casting the scientists as retards. Then with Covenant we're back to a basic idiotic monster movie and the key character who survived Prometheus was nowhere to be seen. Super annoying.
But that's been a problem with Ridley Scott's career. He'll make a fantastic movie, then you go see his next one and it sucks. He would be among my fave directors if he had consistency.
I thought Prometheus was not very good and that it and Covenant were essentially money grabs.
The story and monsters haven't evolved nearly as much as the tech to portray such has.

SOS with a young post-pubescent cast. The cute girl from 'Civil War' and 'Priscilla' was the female protagonist. I didn't expect much and I wasn't let down.
This might be the last one and maybe it should be. Forty-four years of the big bug is enough. I long for the engineers.
That's the WORSE type of that shit!
As far as Alien #____ , in space no one can hear you scream "STOP ALREADY!!!!
