Got my new power supply board for my dead Samsung plasma yesterday. Took about 10 minutes to install. Held my breath when I pressed the power button. In a couple of seconds it was up and running, good as new!
So if you're faced with the same issue, don't give up. If you can't find a new board (and your chances are slim and none) save your old board and see if it can be repaired.

Follow Ups:
I should have held on to my Samsung 27" monitor/TV that I just dumped. It died with a loud pop. I figured that it was the power supply, bit I only know enough to be dangerous.
I'd bought another one for my wife and she didn't care, so I replaced her's with a 24" and didn't worry.
Then, I found out both of my subs weren't working when I swapped preamps. What? It's only obvious for video if you're listening for it. Still for not noticing, I'll have to turn in my audiophile card.
Anyway, one plate amp was dead. The other had a blown fuse. Like you, I found one on ePay, but it was expired. I emailed the guy and it was sold, but he repairs them quite reasonably.
I just mailed it off. Pray that I get it back and will cheer like you.
How do you even get the TV apart in 10 minutes? Those things look impossible unless you find a Youtube with the trick.

Assuming you use a cordless drill/driver, you can do it in 5 min., just lots of little screws, and the sheet metal back comes right off (SHARP edges). Also, some screws have a course self-tapping thread, some have machine threads, so keep track what goes where.

...the black self-threading screws are used on the outside to hold on the back, and the silver machine thread screws are used on the inside. And the power supply board is where the 115V cord plugs into the TV. If I can do it, anyone can.
