Tony Leung (always a treasure) leads an ensemble cast in telling the tale of a group of Chinese double agents who successfully infiltrate the Japanese hierarchy during the World War II occupation. The pace is steady and measured as cross, double cross, and triple cross situations develop and lead to invariable action. The entire ensemble performance is notable, and the cinematography perfectly frames both actors and action. This film is a treat for both the eyes and the mind.

This is an Amazon "freebie" and is dated 2023. Don't miss it.

There's a samurai movie called the Hidden Blade.

I haven't seen it in a long time but it was very good.
