in films today, Cate Blanchett. A Richard Linklater film (Boyhood & Last Flag Flying)and co-starring Billy Cudrup it follows the life of eccentric one time world renowned recluse architect Bernadette and her efforts to find her way in life... Blanchett excels at these vulnerable character studys. I loved it!

Now that wasn't so bad - really, was it? And her Russian accent was so good, I got fooled and thought she was a real Russian actress! ;-)

I had no idea, from the trailers, how involved the story would get. As always, Cate was great.

Linklater's 2019 film Last Flag Flying. Great performances from Steve Carrel, Bryan Cranston and Laurence Fishburne. Worth checking out as well...

the weakest in the series IMO... To be honest it doesn't much give me hope for the success of the next movie in a year or so. Of course none of them has been as good as the original, though I did like the 3rd one almost as much....

I wanted to reach out and give her a hug. *, posted on September 1, 2020 at 11:21:55

Strangely enough, and despite all its flaws, we like Temple of Doom. . . , posted on September 2, 2020 at 01:42:40

. . . with its great "production number" opening, and that smart aleck Short-Round kid ("You call him DOCTOR Jones, Doll!) - I've never enjoyed a kid actor more! ;-)
