Late to the party but I have been blasting through six seasons of this with zero disappointment per episode. The story is GOT without all the fantasy being all the named principles were actual people and the history plausible. The characters (like the concurrent stories) all follow their own arcs in development. Eg. I really hate Ivar the Boneless, personally. I guess that is perfect casting. Ivar is a bad Bond villain but really was in history.

I'm nearing the end and heartily recommend it to those who like cold weather, personal combat, bloodlettings, gruesome executions, and odd-looking women whose wardrobes seem to take on a stylish flare by the fourth season.

Oh yes, Rollo becomes my favorite as he warms up to the French court. You can see him straining to be civilized and his brow-beating wife is hilarious.

Grab a pail of mead and help yourself to some well-created history.

7 episodes to go. That hateful little sh!t Ivar needs a good asskicking.

Man, there was some fine looking womens those first few seasons. That English Princess Kwenthwith looked like a Hella fun date but one to stay away from long term as I'm pretty sure she eats her young
