 Being on a fixed income, I have to use some enginuity in maximising my viewing.
I keep track of the available movies.
I have Prime so I can get free delivery and use prime music and videos. I wait patiently for the films that I want to see on Netflix, Hulu etc. Then get the service for a month and Bing on them, then cancell the service.

 I'm not sure what you mean, but living the dream to me would be not blowing money needlessly. Living within my means has been my way of saving money for things that I really want. Having Netflix for a whole year would be $216 and I get boored with NF after a while when I've gone through all my 'must see' movies and docs.

 Our library has movies and TV on Hoopla for streaming. Also a bunch of DVDs for borrow...I was able to get Thief of Baghdad and The Canterbury Tale, as well as a couple of seasons worth of Saturday Night Live and Rockford Files.

 No blue ray though. If I want the latest release of a hot ticket, then there is a lot of wait. I tried developing a patience for it (like months).If I just gotta have that movie, I can always go to the Red Box.

But yes free is a lot better.
