15 episodes narrated by a historian. Its backed up by maps showing the spread. A fascinating explanation of the spread and causes of the plague. Its a complete view of what life was like from 1346 to 1365. It kept me interested all the way through.
It's on prime.

the public response would have been different. We never saw the physical suffering like the Plague.

Nah, the powers-that-had-been woulda said, "Mosquito bites, get over it!" nt, posted on March 27, 2021 at 15:17:56

It's been my observation Republicans oft mistake boredom for peace and civiliand turmoil and excitement.for turmoil, social upheaval and angst.

I have always been interested in the history of the plague, posted on March 24, 2021 at 15:08:46

One of the most tragic events in human history. Only a nuclear holocaust could be more devastating. If the plague happened today, or even a worldwide Ebola pandemic, then we would probably be able to contain it the same way quarantining is working for covid.

Barbara Tuchman's "Distant Mirror" covered a lot of the Black Plague and how different factions reacted. , posted on March 31, 2021 at 07:46:41
Nothing changes.

Not Ebola. It can't be pandemic 'cause it kills too quickly. nt, posted on March 24, 2021 at 15:36:20

There might be an incubation period where there may no symptoms.

contact, then, DIRECTLY with host's bodily fluids. NOT airborne. Deadly, yes! But would have to be combined with another more spreadable disease to be a real threat.
