I loved Season 1 ( but how could I not with Allie Bob Thornton?). Seasons 2 and 3 were very good, but not up to One. I started Season 4 a few nights ago, and am on episode 4. I'm trying like hell to keep watching, but it just is doing nothing for me. Plot is really not great (or maybe I haven't recognized it yet), and the characters, with a couple of minor exceptions, are listless and forgettable. The setting is Kansas City, MO......quite aways from north Minnesota or North Dakota. One of the central characters is a nurse....quite oddly, she speaks, acts, and sounds like Francrs McDormand's character in the original Fargo movie....is that supposed to be the connection? There are also some minor gross scenes...(not violent, but I don't want to spill the beans) that you have to wonder why they are there. Maybe just to make this series kinda goofy?

Maybe I'm getting old and cranky, but I have no idea why the critics are raving about this.

I'll keep at it, but I don't have my hopes up.

Well, I've made it through episode 5. My opinion has not changed overall, but something dawned on me. This, supposedly true, series takes place in the '50s. It's about a black crime family breaking into former Italian and Irish turf. So far, I've not heard the dreaded "N word" once. Historically accurate must be referring only to the vintage cars in the film.

Sorry, but I'm so sick of this woke crap I could spit. I'm still waiting for the day that The Godfather will be banned.

Oops, I'll probably get banned here myself.

I don't want to 'spoil', but for ME, the final episode of S4 was a letdown.......

The first season was SO good I was jacked for the second.

Okay, that was a bit disappointing ...maybe the third will be better.

Nope.

Gave up on the fourth after three episodes.

They had a great start and went off the rails.

I don't know what they were thinking.

I agree. I liked the 1st and 2nd season but 3 and 4 were much weaker. Its a shame.... nt, posted on March 26, 2021 at 08:36:17
