WARNING--generally, I love Tom Hanks' later movies.

The Ebert review, linked, will give you an idea of the film, but I LOVED it.. Hanks and newcomer Helena Zengel both give excellent, understated, 'natural'-looking performances, and the story, a Western, is always interesting and involving.

Its visuals look super on my 2.35-ratio screen and in UHD ('4K').

And it's in Panavison.. :-)

Should win some awards IMHO.

I'm just not into Tom Hanks movies any more, especially the Da Vinci Code series. He made some good ones, I'll give you that.

Western? Try "Jauja" with the always excellent Viggo Mortensen. nt, posted on March 30, 2021 at 12:30:57
