We just binged the second half of season 4.
A fantastic finish to a great season.
The ending did not disappoint!

Ruth.

Screw the rest of them (for the most part), especially Marty and that fookin' Wendy.

For whatever reason Netflix put up the first 5 or 6 episodes of Season 4 a few months ago, and then last 6 or 7 just went up on Netflix last week.

and read the enthusiasm in this thread and from a buddy, guess it's time for me to re-visit the Redneck Kingdom.

So many unforgettable secondary characters. Marty and Wendy Bird are the main course, but the side dishes shine....

I watched 1-2 a day till the end. Fitting end. Don't forget that final post-script that chats with the actors about the show and their rolls. Nice to see them as people vs their mostly demented characters. Ruth is in another new series on Netflix, but I just watched 1 episode so far.

It just doesn't make sense that Mel would show up at the very end unarmed with no way to ensure the Byrdes were turned in after he got his hands on some evidence. No smart cop would do that so that part just wasn't believable. I realize it was all set up so that the Byrdes would ultimately win, albeit with yet another consequence.

Yeah, I see your point, but then, he knew the Byrdes weren't the trigger happy type, right. No guns.

Well, no guns until there were guns ......

That last scene?

In my mind the shooter panned left past his father and shot you know who.

And this makes me happy.

Especially if it was a head shot.

Good series.

I'm not at all sure about that, but the possibilities for making your own conclusions are interesting ;-)
