My modem is behind my TV so either way works. I have been having trouble with the TV keeping a connection with the apps. Always a hassle to get it to recognize the password to reconnect. And it is just the TV, phone and computer still play apps.

If I hardwired it would it make any difference?

Definitely worth trying to see if the problem goes away. For me, wherever practical, I use a wired connection.

Separately is there a setting to save the password so that reconnect is less onerous?
