Totally depends upon viewing distance. Also, quality of signal plays a part here to.

My 55" 4k looks MUCH better than 1080p, at nine feet viewing distance. Signal is a quality Blu-ray player, with an outboard power supply. Switching ps's are a compromise, and do not deliver the best pic/sound.

Depends on the tv
Some 1080 TVs look better then a 4k model will.
What are the two TVs your comparing ??
I prefer the 1080 tv but some people like 4k better

My 4k tv is only 55 but most 65 4k models today are superior.
