You are right, EWS IS crap with no redeaming values, and a sad ending to a lustrous career. We had discussed it here perhaps 100 times already, and it ain't getting no better. It is one of the popular target to stick your sword into, so to speak. It was pathetic on pretty much all fronts, with perhaps the most boring part being the "orgy" - can you imagine THAT!??? As for the ending, that sweet and jucey punch line... well, I can only guess what caused the master to slide to that level. No, I didn't find it offensive, just incredibly stupid, embarrassing and lacking any drive or punch. More like a fart.... embarrassing.

The Piano is - or can be - enjoyable, I am sure you will not regret watching it. I love both actors and they both do well in that film.
