I enjoy the trifecta - Monster Garage, Monster House and American Chopper. I hope Discovery Channel gets back to that lineup soon. There's only so much Teutle you can take in one sitting.These shows seem to have been inspired by the success of Junkyard Wars on TLC. A previous favorite of mine, JYW has lost its appeal since Monster Garage. The reworked show - with two regular team captains selecting a new team from scratch on the day of the build - seems like a desperate attempt to inject some conflict and develop these two team captains into popular "working class hero" characters like Jesse James. It isn't working. If the producers of JYW wanted to adjust the show to compete with Monster Garage, they should have extended the build time to two days instead of just ten hours and maybe given the teams a small budget to buy some good parts that they can't scrounge from the junk. Rushed as they were, the last two builds resulted in crap that performed so poorly that I'm not even going to bother watching anymore.
