I have been a bit frustrated with my Netflix account lately. It seems that most of the moview in my queue have a wait involved, out of 25 only 3 are available now.
Whenever you have a movie at the top of your list that has a wait involved Netflix will hold off sending you your next movie that is available for a day or two to see if that title will come in (it never does)
I logged into my friend's account and checked his queue and he had l only 5 waits out of 80 movies. So I logged back into my account and tried adding a movie I had seen in his queue that was available and it came up in my queue as a short wait. So I logged back into his account and added a movie from my queue that had a short wait and it came up in his queue as available now. I did this with a number of movies that show short wait for me and they were available now for him.
I have a theory on this. I watch and return my movies promptly, my friend takes a lot longer to get around to watching and returning. I bet Netflix uses this as a way of controlling the amount of movies it allows you to rent.
I didn't see anything about this in the other threads, so I though I would add my findings. If you think you are going to get your money's worth at Netfilx, think again, they will keep you from renting to many movies.
