I have only a few 4K UHD Blu-ray discs and they DO look sharper on my 4K capable TV vs 4K from streaming services like AppleTV or Netflix.
Interestingly, I also find that over the air local HDTV broadcasts are sharper than the same content coming through our Cable TV service. For example, if I'm watching a live sporting event like NFL football the over the air broadcasts are sharper than the same event coming over Cable TV. They're both good, but over the air is a bit sharper.
