The soundtrack has been rerecorded and the music sounds pretty okay, just like the voices, but the quality of image compared with other releases was rather disappointing, I thought.

And yes, it's a great movie. I laughed my arse off when the captain was listening to the radio and announced Schalke '04 had won their match; a nice touch of irony in these circumstances and at last a movie about the War without polarizing the 'bad' and the 'good' guys.
