Help! What movie am I thinking of?

Can you all help me figure out the name of this movie? I can't remember anything but the plot.
The plot...
Female hit woman for the mob is blamed for the death of the head Mobsters son.... This hit woman has a friend who is a hit man. The hit man character is terminally ill and dies in a shoot out toward the end of the movie. The mobsters son is trying very hard to prove himself and, the hit woman is babysitting him. And, if I remember correctly, the son kills a prostitute or a prostitute kills him. After the son is in trouble or dead the woman gets blamed for it and has to fight the gangster for survival. I remember in the first half an hour or so that this old guys are sitting around playing poker at the gangsters place and if they loose they have play Russian roulette on their hands.
Payback reminds me of this movie as it's kind of dark and gritty like Payback.
Does any of this ring any bells? Sorry I can't remember much else. I think the film is no more than 5 - 7 years old. And it certainly wasn't a block buster. I rented it on video a few years ago and would really like to see it again.
