Solaris - VHS or DVD?

Hi,

I've been thinking of getting myself a copy of Solaris for a while. I noticed Chapters.ca has it on both VHS ($17-ish) and DVD ($48) -- Canadian dollars of course!

Has anyone seen the DVD version? Any comments on the audio and video quality? (A good remastering job?)
