Please Help Me ID This 1960's Film

This was released around 1966/67.
I believe it was filmed in California.
A man driving home to his family, from (what I believe to be) a business trip.
I seem to recall it was a holiday occation.
He was being tormented up and down the road by a group of (four?) guy's, in a 1958-1962 vintage Corvette.
At the end of the film, the man waits for them on a long stretch of highway, and faces them head-on in a game of chicken.
Anyway, the vette veres off the road & crashes into a ditch.
The dazed guy's crawl out of the overturned vette, to find the older man angrily standing over them with a tire iron in his hand,demanding them to get out of the car.
Any help on ID would be very much appreciated.
