Movies from comedy to drama to your favorite Hollyweird Star.

Actually, by 'natives' I was referring to....

152.163.197.61

all Americans from any heritage. The battle scenes are so realisticly recreated, albeit with lots of computer graphics, that one feels like they're watching a news reel of some sort.

Face it, the sailors and civilians were pretty much sitting ducks/fish in a barrel for the 300 Japanese fighter planes and in the movie, everyone's fair game. Kind of like the opening beach scene in S.P.R.. Definitely not sugar coated.

After the big scene and as an American, I was pissed that we waited 3.5 years to drop only two Atomic Bombs. This movie gets the blood boiling and probably doesn't do anything productive for US/Japan relations.

I mean, I don't think I'd be sitting in one of our AMC Movie Theatres in Japan watching a movie about the Atomic Bombs that were dropped on their cities, should one ever be made to this caliber.

There were evidently a few scenes supposedly excised from the Asian/Euro marktets, among them, a monologue by the actress at end and evidently a comment by a Japanese Fighter pilot where he states he'll start doing civilian soft targets should he run out of military ones. Since I kept running up to the booth to make sure the film was feeding properly (3:20 run time w/trailers) I might have missed that part, but don't recall seeing in last night. The monologue was pretty tame, though.

Have fun.

Chris
