I enjoyed it as well...

...and should have stated so in my original post. It made me think, and in a summer of mindless junk that counts for a lot. I was saddened to see that humans flunked the moral question asked at the beginning of the film (Have you hugged your computer today?) and can only hope that I won't be as disappointed as David when I meet my Maker. She better not be Alanis Morissette!

I should have clarified that the image quality bothered me in the IMAX theater because the resolution of 35 mm film "bottoms out" and the seat positions throughout the theater were too close to the screen. I tried top, bottom, and middle row seats (there were only 30 or so people in the theater at our showing and nobody under the age of 18; Spielberg wasn't getting too rich with these Holiday grosses) and could not sit back far enough. Spielberg has varied the aspect ratios of his films, e.g., "E.T." was 1.85:1 while "Close Encounters" was 2.35., and Kubrick preferred the 1.33:1 TV ratios for "Eyes Wide Shut", so I didn't know what aspect ratio to expect.
