Re: It was great in Cinerama, but ...

Jeez, Phlounder, what's the world coming to? We agree again. I couldn't a said it better myself! yes, yes and yes, especially about Clockwork Orange -- a truly nasty film but great. You read the book? It's every bit as good, in a different way. I was lucky enough to study with/write for Anthony Burgess for a semester at college. Interesting guy. He said he got started writing in his middle age -- after some doctor told him he had a fatal disease and had only X months to live. Burgess had always wanted to write; so he said to himself, "It's now or never" and started writing. The rest, as they say, is history.

And, yes, HTWW, was also the first Cinerama movie that I saw too.
