John,Glad you made that reply - took the thoughts right out of my head (and made them better).
I recently watched the DVD and was completely drawn into the "experience." Regarding the effects, I was amazed how well they held up. In fact, there was a starl, documentary-like realism that felt more convincing than the majority of soft, overwrought CGI effects I see in cinema these days.
