1936: Modern Times; My Man Godfrey
1937: Grand Illusion
1938: The Lady Vanishes; The Four Feathers
1940: Foreign Correspondent
1941: Sullivan's Travels
1943: Day of Wrath
1944: Double Indemnity
1946: Beauty and the Beast; The Best Years of Our Lives
1948: Red River
1949: A Letter to Three Wives

We have now reached a total of 50 films, which I think is a much better cross-section of the greatest films of the 30's and 40's.

There are a few in the first 2 posts that I have not seen, but I am eagerly looking foreward to finding and viewing them. I suspect that it may be some time before all of the 50 listed so far are out on dvd however.
