My wife and I go to lots of movies, but we also collect DVDs with a passion. Personally, I enjoy viewing seamless artifact-free movies (i.e., with a prog. scan DVD player on a WS/HDTV) in an undistracted environment like the comfort of my own living room. Each "format" has it's own strengths and weaknesses which have been thrashed out here before by myself and others. [Note: Usually, I will see a movie at the cinema first, then purchase it when it comes out on DVD.]AuPh
