Interestingly enough, I just watched Dancer in the Dark (not really knowing what to expect) and Moulin Rouge the following night-last night actually! My wife preferred Moulin Rouge but Dancer in the Dark is the real thing and much more interesting. I thought Moulin Rouge was kind of like watching MTV for a couple of hours.
