Saw "The Crucible" last night

A powerful movie with excellent acting, production etc.

Anyone tell me how it fared with the public? I would guess not very popular.

I did a Google search for more info and came up with

http://www.ogram.org/17thc/crucible.shtml

which gives a list of the historical inaccuracies. This sort of situation is not uncommon and riles the historians but as long as such movies are recognised as "faction" - corrupted fact, then does it matter? Not to me anyway.
