Movie weekend: Blackhawk Down, Moulin Rouge, Fast &Furious

Blackhawk Down: Harrowing is the one word that comes to mind. Graphic, non stop, you won't get bored or fall asleep movie.
I wish Spielberg had made this so as to give it a little more emotion.
The acting was great but the movie was just retelling a story instead of making me "connect" with it. I did feel like I was there with them however. Blade Runner and Apocalypse Now, and Private Ryan were superior but Blackhawk is so far better than Gladiator it gives me hope for Ridley Scott.

Moulin Rouge: quite entertaining and so very, very different. Great production and stunning sets and photography. I don't find Nicole Kidman the least bit sexy so I wish for someone else in the role anyone could have played. One thing though, this was why multichannel was invented. The soundtrack in Dolby Digital is outstanding and for once I enjoyed music in surround. The soundtrack makes you feel like one of the PERFORMERS instead of one of the audience.

Fast & Furious: Is it April 1 already?
