Had a sci fi marathon last night and watched both on laserdisc. "ID" is basically a remake of "WOTW" (and not a very good one) so it is even more unbelievable that Spielberg and Tom Crusie want to remake "War of the Worlds", unless they plan to set it in Wells era like the book is.
