"Wild Strawberries," a good movie, but

hardly great. The conceit of chance meetings wore thin (the young trio; the middle-aged bitching couple), and didn't add anything, except a bit of leavening.
The awkward relationship with his live-in maid was unbelievable---40 yrs. together and he never jumped her bones?
A successful drama must have, well, some dramatic urgency. Continued ruminations on "the one that got away" just doesn't feed the bulldog (he couldn't seriously have thought that fox would be attracted to his egoistical, intellectually dry self?).
A highlight: the cameo of Max Von Sydow at the gas station. A needed interlude---he lit up the screen the moment he entered.
