Claude Chabrol - Unfaithful Wife (La Femme infidÃ¨le)

Making slow progress through his collection - the set of eight films.
The first two - Le Boucher and Les Biches were disappointments, but this one offers at least some material to think about.
I remember seeing this one many years ago... a well-forgotten experience. Not a great movie, but with just enough suspense and atmosphere to make it passable. In this one, unlike in the two others, you can feel the psychology of characters' actions, you can identify with their feelings... the others were more like posters.
One interesting note, something not to escape the sharp eye - when the main character drives through the streets, he passes a movie theater, with Les Biches anouncement on the front. He-he... director love thyself.
Not something I would recommend if you are looking for a serious movie, but not too bad for a light fare.
