Lomg a fan of this 1974 adaptation of the Fitzgerald classic, I awaited its laserdisc release which, alas, never came. It was finally released last December on DVD in anamorphic widescreen and
remastered Dolby 5.1 sound. It stars Robert Redford and Mia Farrow and has an elegent screenplay by Franci Ford Coppolla. Sam Waterston, Karen Black, and Bruce Dern have supporting roles. The film captures the essense of the novel and IMHO is far better than the version released a few yesrs ago.
