Peter Boddanovitch plays an unexpected camoeo in this tale of the infamous Mitchel brothers of "Behind the Green Door" fame. Directed by Emilio Estavez, it stars him and his own half brother Charlie Sheen. They both are made up to look remarkably like the Mitchels. The film starts when they are children, and then traces their gradual move from student film mmaking to nudie films and then to the series of hard core films that made them rich and famous. The filming of "Behind..." with a Marilyn Chambers lookalike is remarakably explicit. After its success, the Mitchels developed serious drug and alcohol problems, which deteriorated their marriages and their partnership. The film ends in 1991 with the killing of one brother by the other. This was better than I thought it would be. Ms. Cahambers herself apopears in the extras and tells of her experiences wuth the brohers and with her on again off agin porno career. Much of the film looks like it was shot in L.A., not San Francisco.
