Always thought I'd already viewed this film with Micky Rourke, by Stuart Rosenberg but, no.
Duh.
But great to see a youngish Mickey Rourke in a good role that suits him (like the Year of the Dragon, his best for me) and I had to look up Eric Roberts, who plays his cousin Paulie - what an 'over-the-top' performance but excellently portrayed!
Seems he never did anything really interesting after?
Shame.
Some nice second roles (M.Emmet Walsh, so good in Blood Simple, (a REAL favorite of mine)) and a stunningly alcoholicn Geraldine Page as the cop's mother.
