Well thank heaven for DVD. I think the studio wants a fast paced edit for the low attention span masses.

I never understood the length complaint of Dawn of the Dead which was IMO the best of this series. It was also the longest - but it served its characters and mood well. It's one of the only horror films I can watch over and over again -- and given the production values even then, that says something. There are a few good jumps in this one as well but it's never really been about theat. The scariest thing of all is fear itself and how the human survivors act. This in Land of the Dead has been retained thankfully.

Simon Pegg of Shawn of the Dead (this was a hoot) had a cameo but I missed it.
