While discussing silent German films in the thread below, it occured to me that I should mention Joe May's Asphalt:

This isn't available in a U.S. (NTSC) release (yet), but if you enjoy silent film fare, I highly recommend [see photo above] Joe May's Asphalt (released by Eureka in the UK; requires region free player)! Well done restoration of a film that was once thought lost. Note: This movie was released in 1929; when the nazis came into power they butchered release prints, considering the film decadent. Fortunately a complete print was located in a film archive in Russia a few years ago; this release is the result.
