Kevin Costner plays Tin Cup, a washed up golf pro making a comeback in the U.S. Open. Cheech Marin is his sidekick/roommate/caddy. Rene Russo, a shrink who is originally engaged to Don Johnson, a rival golf pro, falls in love with Costner after the two start trading golf lessons for psychoanalysis. Mildly entertaining if a bit far fetched.
